FAQ

What is the difference between FPV videos and drone videos?

Drone video provides a wider view of the area being filmed, which can be useful for showcasing properties or landscapes. FPV video is captured from a first-person perspective and provides a more immersive, up-close view of the action. Additionally, while drone video is typically limited to outdoor environments, FPV drones can be flown indoors as well. For more information about our drone videos, please visit our Drone Media page.

Is it possible to have a video with both FPV footage and drone footage?

Yes! This is a great option to create a video which offers both a first-person perspective (great for capturing interior spaces) and wider aerial views to fully showcase your space. For more information, please book a consultation or to learn more about our drone videos, please visit our Drone Media page.

Are your operations licensed and insured?

All our drone operators are certified with Transport Canada Advanced RPAS certification. All our drone operations are carried out with 5 million dollars liability insurance. We are also insured up to 5 million dollars for general liability. In addition, we carry a 1 million dollars professional liability insurance for our creative services, and 2 million dollars professional liability insurance for professional services.

What safety measures does your team take while flying UAVs?

All our drone operations are conducted in accordance with Transport Canada RPAS Regulations. We utilize enterprise-level drones with redundant safety systems, which are equipped with certified parachute systems when flying over bystanders. Our team holds safety as the highest priority when conducting all our drone operations and we employ an internal Safety Management System (SMS) to evaluate all threats and risks to our operations.

How long is the turn-around time?

Project delivery timelines and schedules are discussed prior to booking for each project. Depending on the complexity of the project, turnaround times can range from only 2-3 business days to 15-20 business days from the end of the shoot.

What happens if I need to reschedule?

If cancellation or rescheduling is necessary, please do so with a minimum of 48 hours notice to avoid any cancellation or rescheduling fees. Any project cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of the start of the booking appointment will be subject to a fee of 50% of the total rate for the booking. Any project cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the start of the booking appointment will be subject to a fee of 100% of the total rate for the booking.

What happens in the event of inclement weather?

In the event of inclement weather that prevents photography, videography, drone flight, or other services from being completed, a new date will be scheduled at the earliest available time, at no extra cost. Sky Sight Inc. will solely determine what constitutes inclement weather that is significant enough to require rescheduling.

Are revisions included?

One round of revisions for edited media projects are included. Additional rounds of edits will be billed at $100/hour. While our team will do everything possible to ensure you are satisfied with the final deliverable(s), additional work outside the original project scope will be charged extra.

How much do drone media services cost?

The cost for drone media services can range from approximately $1000 to $25,000 (or more) depending on the complexity and scope of the project. For more information, please request our pricing booklet or book a consultation.

How do I pay for the services?

For most projects, a 30% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remainder is due upon delivery of the project deliverables. For larger projects (for example, over $25,000 total spend), a customized payment schedule can be discussed. You will be able to pay all invoices securely online via credit card, debit card, or e-transfer. Our invoice payment terms are NET 7 (payment is due within 7 days after the invoice is issued). Please note that bookings are only confirmed when deposit payments are paid in full.
