B.Arch. Eng., MRAIC

Senior Architectural Designer

Khaled AlSayyed is a Senior Architectural Designer with experience across residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, including mid-rise and multi-unit developments. At Sky Sight Inc., he plays a senior role in architectural and interior design, design development, BIM coordination, technical documentation, visualization, and project delivery, working across projects from early concepts and existing-condition analysis through permitting, detailed design, and construction documentation.

Khaled develops and coordinates architectural drawing and BIM packages using Revit and the broader Autodesk AEC workflow, with a strong focus on detailed, coordinated, and constructible documentation. His responsibilities include Ontario Building Code and zoning review, Site Plan Approval and permit documentation, consultant coordination, resolution of technical design issues, and mentorship of architectural designers and other team members. He also contributes to the development of the firm's Revit standards, libraries, templates, details, and digital production workflows.

His work integrates architectural design with the firm's reality-capture and geomatics capabilities. Khaled works with terrestrial LiDAR, point clouds, Scan-to-BIM workflows, topographic and site information, and other existing-condition datasets to develop accurate models and documentation for renovations, additions, existing buildings, and new development. He is also involved in interior design and detailing, including space planning, custom millwork and casework, materials, lighting, fixtures, and coordination of architectural requirements with engineering, AV/IT, equipment, and other specialty systems.

Khaled has substantial experience in 3D modelling and visualization and works with tools including Revit, Twinmotion, 3ds Max, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Adobe applications as appropriate to the project. His experience also contributes to the firm's digital-fabrication and physical scale-model workflows.

Prior to joining Sky Sight Inc., Khaled worked on residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, including mid-rise projects, preparing Site Plan Approval and building permit submissions, detailed construction documentation, BIM models, and visualization packages. His previous responsibilities included multidisciplinary consultant coordination, contract-administration support, site reviews, and management of in-house BIM standards.

Khaled holds a bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering from Beirut Arab University and is a Member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. His architectural education has been certified by the Canadian Architectural Certification Board, and his education also includes advanced study in parametric design, kinetic architecture, and environmental optimization at Sapienza University of Rome.

He is currently pursuing a Master of Architecture (Post-Professional) at the University of Toronto's John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design.
